The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers MPhil and PhD degrees. These are awarded primarily on the basis of examination of a research thesis.
A candidate for the MPhil degree is also required to read courses totalling a minimum of six credits.
A candidate for the PhD degree is also required to read courses totalling a minimum of nine credits.
Candidates are required to pass both the coursework and the written examinations before submitting their thesis.
Other requirements are as specified in Faculty Regulations.
