Dr. Bridge obtained her Ph.D. at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA in Theoretical & Applied Mechanics in 1992, her B.Sc. with First Class at The University of the West Indies, Mechanical Engineering, St. Augustine, Trinidad in 1986 and her Dip. Ed. at the University of Technology, Jamaica Post-graduate Diploma in Educations in 1999. In January 2002 she joined the Department of Mechanical and has since been a lecturer in the field of applied mechanics and vibrations. Prior to this she was a Lecturer at the School of Engineering, University of Technology, Jamaica from September 1995 to December 2001. Dr. Bridge was also the Director of the Mechanical Engineering Programmes at the School of Engineering, University of Technology, Jamaica from September 1998 to December 2000, the Faculty Curriculum Coordinator Faculty of Engineering & Computing, University of Technology, Jamaica from September 2000 to December 2001 and a Refinery Engineer at PetroJam Ltd., Kingston, Jamaica during the period of October 1986 to June 1988. She has also had many publications and is the primary supervisor for M.Phil. student Renique Murray.
